This time at the ICE HOT DISCO, there’s a twist! You will be hosted through the lineup of artists and bands by incredible drag Queen Madonnah Kebab (host of the massively successful Salem Bitch Trials) who will open the night with a spectacular performance that simply MUST be seen to be believed!
Previously performing as the satirical post-punk villain ‘The Kleptocrat’, this new era sees David Leon performing as ‘Captain Fabulous’, drawing on a rich history of LGBTQ+ artists. These brand-new songs are effervescent maelstroms of pop, rock, punk, and funk. Queer power surges through each beat of the third incarnation of this Scottish songwriter’s unique reflection of current gay culture.
David Leon’s fabulous band consists of; Baptie on guitar, Ross Mackenzie on drums, Will Brookes on bass, and John Gair on synthesisers. These incredible musicians will bring you joy, energy, and excitement with every liberating lyric and raucous rhythm.
Celebrating over 20 years on the scene, Nick Shane is a UK mod-punk-indie songwriter who has just released Don’t Bite Back Baby (It’s Alright) as part of his eighth studio album. Nick’s work covers a wide range of acoustic-soulful-singer/songwriter genres, to heavy mod-grunge-chaotically psychedelic influences.
Recent releases from Nick Shane include Gimme Shelter (with The Belle Stars), FEVERLAND, LONG BROWN HAIR and THE GIRL WITH THE FREAKY GUN. Nick has also released celebrated tracks such as Stranger Times (featuring Texas guitarist and founding member, Ally McErlaine), Shine Over Me (with TV legend Gail Porter) and the massively successful 2022 album Wired To The Moon.
